The Governmental Affairs Committee of the Hamden Regional Chamber of Commerce is committed to reviewing, developing, and supporting issues that promote a positive, pro-active and responsible business environment.
Our purpose is to work with our elected officials to promote a legislative agenda that will positively affect the ability of businesses to compete in the local and state economy and continue to generate income and jobs that will help to improve quality of life in the Town of Hamden.
To achieve the goals of this committee, it’s chair and it’s members will strive to maintain regular communication with Hamden’s General Assembly and Town delegations and recommend positions on issues that impact the local business community through personal contact and Chamber functions. Issues important to the committee include but are not limited to taxes, infrastructure, and zoning.
